Not the chocolate TRUFFLE

Ever heard of Truffle oil? Truffle fries? Truffle pasta? Truffles are fungus that grows in forested areas. Think of it as a mushroom. They’re one of the most expensive food in the world. They are expensive cause its very hard to plant them. Actually, you can’t just plant them anywhere cause they live inside tree roots with a specific kind of soil. But what do they really taste like? I haven’t tasted one to be honest, but the famous white & black truffle (yes, they have different kinds) they say are garlicky.

So what’s the deal breaker? Truffle ingredients such as truffle oil, truffle butter makes a huge impact on famous recipes such as truffle cream pasta, truffle eggs, fries and so on

Now the Truffle Cream Pasta that I have tasted ladies and gentlemen, was a heaven on earth experience. It was my first time to try any truffled recipe of some sort. Been weeks when i craved for truffle fries and pasta, thanks to Byron – our friend who’s a performer at Frank and Dean invited us for a catch up. I saw a Truffle Cream Pasta (Php330) in their menu and said to myself – “It’s time”.

I still drool just by seeing this photo! The pasta was not heavily creamed that you’ll get sated easily. It was not even lacking in cream. It was exactly how I like my pasta! You can taste the mellow aroma of the truffle oil and is truly delectable! The serving is good for 1-2 persons. But I think i can finish it on my own. Lol. Plainly elegant would be the perfect two words to describe this dish. It’s so good that the pasta deserved this solo post, ha ha.

Can you still remember your first Truffle Experience? Not the chocolate though.
