I guess I’ve already passed by Locavore a million times in Forbes Town Center, BGC. And I always notice its long queue every time. Made me wonder until I have already completely forgotten about it. Not until one time when Isce and I, together with Ray decided to go for a dinner considering it was her birthday!
As early as 6pm they already got filled and have to wait to be seated. I think it took us almost an hour to finally secure a table. I kept repeating to Isce and Ray featuring the cranky in me “This better be worth it, this better be worth it!” cause whenever I go hungry I.must.get.food, ASAP! Lol.
Prior to being seated we already have chosen some dishes from their extensive menu. We ordered and serving time was reasonable between 20-25minutes. Not bad for a full house! Their menu is a fusion of Filipino dishes mixed with some Western style cooking. Mostly offering Filipino food but their best sellers are the one with twists. And that’s what made them click for sure.
Sizzling Sinigang – Php475
Filled with vegetables and soft meat, you’ll feel like Christmas if Sinigang is your favorite dish and KFC gravy is your thing. This is a mixture of both taken up to the next level. BRAVO!
Roasted Organic Garlic White Fried Rice Php65 / cup
They don’t have rice platters, they just served our 3-4 cups of rice in one giant plate. Garlic Fried Rice may be just a simple dish, but its tough to have one that matches all your main courses. Locavore however, made it happened. 🙂
Kare Kare Wings – Php260
Locavore sure thinks out of the box when it comes to their menu options. Just look at these Kare Kare Wings – imagine the combination of buffalo wings + kare kare – its a total dream come true. The wings were perfectly done as how americans do it with the coating of creamy peanut butter hint and kare kare sauce. It was served with buttermilk ranch and bagoong. Mmmm..
What do you think of their creative cuisines? As for me I can’t wait to try more. It was definitely worth it!
Don’t be like me, call to reserve!
