Taisho Ramen | Dark Horse of Ramen Houses in the Philippines?

During the Blogapalooza 2016, I dropped by a Japanese booth and got a free sample of ramen and gyoza. I hurdled back to the event tent as it was hot outside and there while listening to the speakers, I slurped and enjoyed the good taste of the ramen. “This tastes authentic”, I told myself. Little did I know that the managers of Taisho Ramen was observing me and when I noticed their shirts I threw in a smile as they asked me how was it. This brought me to Taisho Ramen a freshly opened Japanese Restaurant which serves Ramen, Bentos and Gyoza as there specialties.

Fast forward to December, me along with Ray and 2 more bloggers sat down and got the opportunity to taste Taisho Ramen’s best house dishes. Initially they served us this flavorful salad, which was a great appetizer. Sweet with a spicy twist.

Kani Salad was also served and it was delightful because of the fresh mangoes and their secret special dressing. Mmmm….

I got giddy when they served us the Gyozas (Php145-185) it brought back Blogapalooza nostalgia and it was exactly the same Gyoza I have tasted. Crispy and not too greasy!

From there the stars of the show were served. Starting from the Karamen Ramen (Php330). It was very much tasteful and can get to a head to head battle with Ramen Nagi’s Red King!

I also liked this Chamen Ramen (Php395) which was full of toppings and is good for 2! We were so stuffed but can’t get enough of the Ramen  bowls all at the same time!

We capped off the lunch with these awesome Kakigoori desserts (Php80-120). I want to take them all hooommme. I can’t choose between Matcha and Strawberry as both were my favorites ❤

I honestly got hungry while writing this blog. Ughhh I cant wait to be back! Taisho Ramen’s price is so competitive you wont believe your eyes with the serving and quality!

I have been blogging for 11 years and have seen the ups and downs of internet marketing. I love blogging about travel and comfort food while I work full time as a Digital Marketing Manager for an IT Company. On my free time I play the piano and love to do online window shopping. I am obsessed too with city lights at night.
