It’s a bit of a challenge to find a hotel that keeps you going from dusk till dawn. In Makati City, Philippines, City Garden Grand Hotel is pleased to show us what they got from their warm service to their unique experience offerings.

Light flows naturally into the room and the interiors are generally modern with some touches of classic Filipino twist. The room shown above is a Deluxe room with double beds. It is equipped with a stylish bathroom and full set of toiletries. The room where we stayed at boasted a full scale Makati skyline view.

After checking-in, we were excited to try out their Spice Cafe at the 7th floor. The cafe is where they also serve Buffet Breakfast. We ordered their specialties which were:

Chicken 65 – marinated chicken tenders served with secret dips, if you’re into a new kind of Chicken fusion, try this!

And one of my top picks is the “Grand American Burger” so massive it can serve up to 4 persons! Its actually larger than my face lol. Massive in size, massive in taste. Say massive again. Massive. Lol

The Firefly Roofdeck Bar is one of City Garden Grand Hotel’s Pride. It has a panoramic view of not just Makati CBD but also gives a glimpse of Mandaluyong and Manila. It’s so easy to let the time pass here.

Or might as well take a dip at their edgy pool. It has a kiddie pool, adult pool and Jacuzzi. The roof deck also has a shower area and the whole facility is quite a spectacular view at night.

As the sun sets the ambiance gets more exciting while the staff prepares for the evening BBQ and cocktails. Firefly Roofdeck Bar is well-known for being a hot spot for chilling, cocktails and even a place for romantic dates.

As we turned in, the night was still dynamic but the beds, pillows & linens exceeded our expectations for a good night sleep. Come sunrise a lavish breakfast await us –

4 or more stations are set up every breakfast. Filipino, American, Middle Eastern and more, there’s one for everyone.

My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, I will always have to say. Specially if it will let me yield in some bacon and waffles which what Spice Cafe did.

There’s also a station for the health conscious, yogurt in different seasons, wholegrain, cereals are also served.

To sum up, I am amazed how versatile the hotel is making it the ideal place for couples traveling, individual business travelers or even family with kids who wants a brief but unforgettable staycation. The location is central and near to supermarkets, malls, restaurants and night food market.

Thanks for spoiling us City Garden Grand Hotel! It was a long overdue grand staycation. Can’t wait to be back 🙂
