Standing tall on top of Makati’s popular Glorietta Mall, Ascott Makati has already been a known landmark and hotel that let’s just say have endured a reasonable test amount of time. The entrance is still well secured, seated closely beside the entrance of Glorietta 4 and consists of good numbered of elevators that will you to the grand lobby.
Though the structure of the hotel entrance is quite unique – the lobby is still magnificent boasting high ceilings and elegant elements. Of all the check-in experience I have tried, Ascott has the most convenient way of welcoming you with a sit-down check in. Van – the front desk staff who assisted us was very charming and helpful. He even noted that it was my mom’s birthday and gave us a fancy surprise later on during the night.
A welcome gesture
I booked the Studio Deluxe King for my Mom’s birthday staycation and I have to admit the room was impressively spacious and well arranged. There is a mini foyer that separates the bedroom and bathroom.
The bathroom, though a bit dated, was squeaky clean and was well supplied with L’occitane Toiletries.
At first I was a bit nervous which view the room is going to be facing, but we were delighted by the spectacular view specially at night..
The air-conditioning system is very old but the bed totally made up for that as it was very comfy and appropriate for a 4-5 star hotel. The facilities were also the highlights of Ascott Makati. They are well-maintained and fully functional.
My companions noted that the pool was too small, which I immediately disagreed upon. I thought the pool was very inviting and there couldn’t be a more perfect location.
My brother loved the pool he swam both Days 1 & 2. The shower rooms & jacuzzi were lovely and convenient. As an anxious sister, I find the pool safe and life guards were very friendly.
Breakfast was very fulfilling and heartwarming according to my mom, I left them at the hotel for them to enjoy their time. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Final thoughts
The service is still seamless (although my mom had a bad experience upon check out, the woman was not friendly and didn’t know anything about Ascott Advantage which we find funny cause its their loyalty marketing programme) the facilities were still great. With little overhaul on the rooms, I think Ascott Makati won’t be struggling to be on top again. I would recommend the place.

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be a lot more useful than ever before.
