Meliomar Inc. has hosted once more another successful Sustainable Seafood Week event this year last 26 February to 18 March 2018. As expected, a bigger and more insightful group of hotels and establishments came together to discuss the status, challenges and solutions towards a more sustainable seafood future.
The week long campaign for awareness kicked of at the Marriott Grand Ballroom where the opening ceremony was held and the freshest of the freshest sustainable seafood were served.
During the opening, the goal of improving the health of our oceans by practicing responsible business in sourcing seafood was projected. More than 30 establishments, NGOs supported the cause.
Beautiful and tasty quality seafood were served and even cooked fresh on the spot.
The Sustainable Seafood Week was filled with activities and workshops around the metro hosted at different hotels and venues such as Discovery Suites, New World Hotels, Hyatt City of Dreams, Shangri-La Manila, Conrad and more. It revolved around workshops on ways to go beyond environmental sustainability, photo exhibits, masterclass for fishers & changemakers, exciting oyster shucking competion & of course cooking competitions.
The event success was finally celebrated at the Seawall Garden at Sofitel Manila. Members of the Press, Accor Group of Hotels and Government were present during the important closing highlight.
The famous Manila Bay sunset made the event more special.
Lots of unique seafood delicacies were enjoyed and presented by the hotels of Accor Group.
