City Garden Makati Review

A heartwarming stay. Can conclude my 2nd stay at City Garden Makati, the first time I stayed here was around Easter 2015/6 and it was an unforgettable one. This one was even better. We stayed during the Christmas break of 2018 and despite of the hotel being busy, I admired how they managed to have kept it all organized and grace under pressure.

We were welcomed by its charming airy lobby, filled with huge couches and modern design. The front desk was just behind it and offers fresh detox waters while you wait.

Brigette was the one who assisted us and she made us comfortable and welcomed us warmly. Though the check in took a while because it was a peak season, we opted to have lunch outside while waiting. There were tons of choices upon exiting the hotel doors.

Once our room was ready, we were excited to see their newly refreshed spaces. Our room was on the penthouse level.

The hallways were very breezy and minimalist and you could immediately feel the privacy.

Our room was an Executive Twin. It was very spacious for a family of 4. It exemplified cool neutral colors and the textures of soft sheets and furry carpet gave instant snuggly feels.

When you enter the room, you will be greeted by the minibar and counter where you can have short tea breaks.

A complimentary bakery basket were also handed to us which we find as a sweet gesture!

Business travelers would love the working space as its beside the big windows with lovely city views.

As for the bathroom, it has a tub, large vanity and nice set of toiletries. The size of the bath is quite impressive!

WiFi connection is relatively fair, it grew stronger near the door. We literally just lounged the whole day as it was very cozy and the television were filled with various channels.

As for the sheets, they tucked us in so well. Pillows were very fluffy and the bedding were clean enough.

Our stay came with a buffet breakfast which offered a good set of options.

There were choices from sausages, fish, creamy potatoes, pastries, omelette stations and juices.

City Garden Makati offers great value for money and flexibility. Its location is within the Central Business District and main action of the city. Their amenities and rooms are very straightforward to your needs and their services are incredible. The staff are so approachable too.

The hotel also has a gym & spa facilities. Tip: Book ahead if you want to get a massage.

The pool is located on top of the buidling which offers spectacular views both day & night. They also have a cafe at the poolside.

I have been blogging for 11 years and have seen the ups and downs of internet marketing. I love blogging about travel and comfort food while I work full time as a Digital Marketing Manager for an IT Company. On my free time I play the piano and love to do online window shopping. I am obsessed too with city lights at night.
